Literally Taking The Piss – Swindon’s Pathfinding Piss Project Provides Pipeless WC’s To Thousands

Swindon blogger Bumpkin Pie today leaked news of the project which is described by leader of Swindon Council, Rod Loo,  as ‘unique’, ‘innovative’ and ‘awesome’.

“Swindon is set to become the first in the UK to provide free pipeless WC access to all its residents, it was revealed today. Swindon will be covered by a “Wi-Re mesh” (Wide Area Reed bed) offering blanket coverage for its 186,000 citizens, the council said. The £10 million project will be funded by a mixture of council tax money and local residents money. But it hopes to break into profit with residents subscribing to a weekly 20 litre effluent paid-for service, above the free 2 litre service.”

It seems that this project has many similarities with Swindons struggling WiFi project, not least of which is that both projects take the piss out of the tax-paying public that are paying for them.

nb. I can’t help wondering if Bumpkin Pie also writes for the Swindon Pravdatiser.
